Meet our Minister Rev. Christine Bayliss Kelly
Rev Christine Bayliss Kelly is an experienced Minister within the Uniting Church. She has ministered in rural, suburban, Presbytery and Parish Mission roles and currently leads in the Nepean Valley area. Christine has extensive training and experience in pastoral care, counselling, adult education, change leadership as well as leading worship, preaching and teaching. Christine is an on-call chaplain for Nepean Hospital and on the executive of the Penrith Ministers’ Association which is called OneChurch Penrith. Christine ministers in the intercultural space and loves connecting with people from different cultural backgrounds.
Christine is also involved in Presbytery, currently being one of the Deputy Chairperson for Parramatta Nepean Presbytery, as well as the Chairperson of the Pastoral Relations Committee. These roles will change with the advent of the Central Presbytery later in 2026.
Christine is a trainer for Safe Church/Culture of Safety, Ethical Ministry Refreshers and Understanding the Sacraments, as well as having been a trainer for Living our Values, and General Domestic Violence with Lifeline.
Christine is married to Scott with 3 adult children, two dogs and a bird. She loves God and she loves people. She was a nurse/midwife for ten years before coming into ministry. She experiences ministry as journeying with people through the ups and downs of life.
